1 whole frying chicken, cut up
salt to taste
ground black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp oil
2 large potatoes, cubed
1 bag frozen lima beans, thawed
1 cup chicken broth
1/4 tsp thyme
1. Season chicken with salt and pepper.
2. Heat oil and butter in large skillet. Fry chicken on both sides until brown.
3. Add to crock pot with remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours.
